In the spirit of the holiday season, we sought to create something truly special for our members. Our idea was to catch a large fish to donate to a local school and To educate the children on knowing their food through processing, sustainability, and our local fishery. Our quest for a large wahoo to engage and inspire the kids was met with the generous approval of Mother Ocean.
The kids were super stoked on the presentation and we were met with lots of questions and excitement as we filleted the fish and let them taste a piece of fresh wahoo right off the rack! all the kids were given a portion to take home to share with their parents and pass on what they had learned that morning. All of this was possible thanks to you, our members.
